The Trap Guard is designed to protect and camouflage your A18 or A24. The trap is not included. The Trap Cover slides over your trap, protecting it from being chewed by rodents.
Trap Guard—Green—A18 & A24The A18 Trap Cover has been designed for in-field protection and camouflage of the trap. The Guard simply slides over the A18 when installed. Each side of the Guard is hand-crimped to create a friction fit.
Made in Yorkshire, England, it is constructed from high-quality 3mm aluminium. The trap cover is treated and powder-coated, ensuring robustness in the field.
Grey Squirrels are renowned for damaging not just trees but plastic tanks, soffits, lead flashing, feeders, etc. Our traps have suffered some damage throughout their time in the field; we highly recommend the Trap Guard to protect your investment.

Excellent product. Makes good sense to disguise, cover and protect the device from damage by squirrels and the weather.

Definitely worth it. I got this guard straight away, so not sure how long the trap would last without. All I can say, there are deep teeth marks on the corner of this guard. After several months, and 7 squirrels on the counter, they didn’t manage to get through.

Highly Recommended. This Trap Guard is in my opinion a must have accessory for the A18 trap. When I first deployed the trap the squirrels chewed through the top bait cover on my A18 to get at the bait. This guard simply slides down over the trap after it has been fixed to a tree. The squirrels then cannot get at the bait without entering the trap. After 3 months of using the guard I have not had any damage to the trap or the guard itself.
Since fitting the guard the catch rate has increased dramatically. I am not sure whether the guard has been a factor or if the good catch rate is because of bait type, seasonal variation. I wonder if the guard helps to concentrate the bait odour and entices the squirrels to enter the trap.
